MORAY primary schools welcomed back old and new pupils on Tuesday, including two sets of adorable twins.
Five-year-olds Evie and Eleanor Robertson are identical twins and started West End Primary School in Elgin.
They said they were excited about starting primary school and were enjoying their classes with their new teacher Miss Shiels.
Their classmates haven’t found it difficult to tell the two apart, according to the twins.
Support teacher Gillian Tubbs said that it was good to get back to school and that it’s a unique experience working with the excitable pair.
When the twins were asked what their favourite subject was so far, Eleanor replied “sand.”
They also said that they enjoyed reading and maths and were excited about learning new things in the future at West End.
At Anderson’s Primary in Forres, William and Isabella Stevenson stated that school has been “really good” so far.
Isabella said it’s “very nice” being in a class with her twin brother.
She also knows a lot already about numbers and can even write and spell her own name.
They play together a lot along with their old friends from Rainbow Childcare and their new ones they’ve made since starting school.
William and Isabella have also enjoyed playing with their primary seven mentors (buddies) and being shown around and learning about their new school.
They also like classes with their new teachers, playing outside in the playground and using the obstacle course behind the school.
By amazing coincidence, when asked what their favourite thing about school was so far, this set of twins also said they enjoyed "playing with sand".
